SuperFish Silent Air 1000 - 4000
Function
The Silent Air 1000 and 4000 are ultra quiet air pumps for aquariums. An air pump provides water movement in the aquarium, allowing oxygen and gas exchange to take place at the water surface.
Installation
Always position the air pump above the water level otherwise the pump can fill up with water as a result of the siphoning effect (Image A). No warranties for damages caused by the air pump getting wet or water fill inside the air pump!
Make sure that the air pump cannot fall into the aquarium.
Never place the air pump on top of the aquarium.

Make sure that the air pump cannot fall into the aquarium.
Never place the air pump on top of the aquarium.
We recommend using a non-return valve (art. C8010062) so that the water cannot flow back into the pump via the air hose. In this case the air pump may be positioned underneath the water level (Image B).
Connect an air hose (4-6 mm, not included) with an air stone (not included) to each outlet of the air pump.
Place the air stone(s) in the aquarium.
The Silent Air 4000 has an adjustable air flow.
Turn the air pump on by putting the plug in the socket.

Maintenance
If the air output of the pump is decreasing, immediately replace the diaphragm(s) and check the inside of the pump for signs of dirt, moisture and rust. You replace the diaphragms by screwing the pump open, removing the old diaphragms from the valve housing and then fitting the new diaphragms (see overview).
Diaphragm ware is normal and is not covered by warranty, if needed diaphragms can be bought at your dealer.
Replace air tube and air stones yearly. Old and cracked ones will reduce performance and durability of the air pump.
