Colombo Algadrex Cu
Against green water.
In ponds, problems are generally caused by floating algae. These make the water green and opaque. Fish are no longer visible and plants do not receive sufficient light. Thanks to the use of Algadrex Cu, the water will become clearer. Filamentous algae, on the other hand, can be treated with Colombo Algisin. In most cases, problems with green and turbid pond water are related to water quality. It is important to test your water before using Algadrex Cu. You can perform these tests with Colombo test kits and enter your results into our online Pond Control software. The application can be found on our website: www.colombo.nl
Use:
Mix the required amount with 10 litres of tap water in a watering can. Distribute the solution evenly over the surface of the pond. Animals may remain in the pond. After each algae treatment, nutrients are released and should ideally be bound by products from category B. Do not use if the pH value is below 7. It is recommended to use the lowest concentration. In case of heavy algae infestation or depending on water quality (e.g. very dirty water), a higher concentration may be used if necessary. Always use the product in artificial ponds fitted with a waterproof liner. The product must not be used directly in surface waters or in the immediate vicinity of natural water bodies. Only use when assessment of algae infestation and pond parameters indicate that all non-chemical algae control measures, such as (partial) water changes, mechanical removal of algae and regular filter cleaning, are insufficient to ensure effective algae control. The product must be evenly distributed throughout the entire pond (for example by diluting the required amount with pond water in a watering can before application). Store in a cool, dry and frost-free place.
Pond volume calculation:
Calculate the pond water volume as accurately as possible: length × width × average depth in decimetres; the result is the volume in litres.
Dosage:
To control algae growth: add 50–60 ml once per 1,000 L of pond water.
For targeted control of unicellular green algae: add 50–60 ml once per 1,000 L.
For targeted control of blue-green algae: add approximately 3.9–25 ml per day for 5 consecutive days per 1,000 L.
If necessary, repeat after 2–3 weeks with the same dosage or after a water change.
Do not filter over activated carbon or zeolite.
We kindly ask you to share your positive or negative experiences with us.

Catabolism:
Products added to ponds will disappear naturally through processes such as oxidation and bacterial degradation.
Effect on other animals:
Pets and birds may also drink pond water containing these products. It can be assumed that if fish can live in the water, it is not harmful to animals that drink it. Nevertheless, during treatment it is advisable to provide pets (dogs and cats) with drinking water in a separate bowl if they are accustomed to drinking from the pond.
