Unique features
Complete substrate for aquarium plants. Developed in cooperation with experts in plant breeding. Contains all essential nutrients for a healthy plant growth. The open structure maximizes water flow through the substrate. Freeze dried beneficial bacteria are added to decompose waste to keep your substrate clean.

Instructions for use:

Spread a layer of NutriBase on the bottom of the aquarium, with a thickness of 2 to 10 cm.
Cover the NutriBase layer with a layer of gravel with a particle size of 2 mm or more.
Now place your decorative objects in the aquarium.
Fill the aquarium for 75% with tap water at app. 24˚C. To avoid the water to become murky do not allow the water to fall directly on the substrate. Instead, put a plate on top of the substrate and pour the water onto the plate.
Now you can plant your plants, pay attention to the depth effect and different leaf shapes when arranging the plants. For best results; place the plants in groups with lower plants at the front and higher plants at the back.
Top up the aquarium with tap water; add Colombo Aqua Start to make tap water suitable for your aquarium. Add Colombo Bacto Start to start the biology in your aquarium.
Depending on the vegetation, the nutrients in NutriBase will remain effective for 6 to 12 months. You can use Colombo NutriCaps to provide new nutrients to the roots of your plants.
In addition to nutrients absorbed by the roots, plants absorb nutrients through the leafs. Use Colombo FloraGrow to add nutrients to the water.
