This meter can measure 4 different parameters
- pH value: in a pond, the pH should be between 7.0 and 8.5. Check also the KH-level when the pH is out of range.
- Temperature: the temperature of a pond is important, example when establishing which feed type to use and how much to feed, or when starting a medicine treatment.
- TDS (Total Dissolved Solids): in short this is a measure for the amount of salt in the water. We advise to use a salt level of around 1000 ppm (=mg/l) in the pond, being 1 kg of salt per 1000 litres of pond water.
- EC (Electric Conductivity): is another way of depicting the salt level. A salt level of 1000 ppm equals to an EC of 2000 µS/cm.
