Invisible Parasites
Alparex is effective against invisible parasites, which cause grey skin disease, such as Ichthyobodo, Chilodonella and Trichodina. The presence of these parasites can only be determined with a microscope. Symptoms of an infection with these parasites include listlessness, chafing and reduced appetite.
White Spot Disease
Alparex is also effective against white spot disease caused by Ichthyophthirius or Ichtyo.
Fungus
Fungal infections (mostly caused by Saprolegnia) can be recognised by the appearance of greyish-white, cotton-like growths on the skin and/or gills.
Instructions for Use
Read the complete manual carefully before use.
Dosage: Alparex has to be administered in two steps.
- Day 1: 25 ml per 1000 litres of pond water.
- Day 2: again 25 ml per 1000 litres of pond water.
Always test the water quality before use. The KH is especially important and should be at least 5° dH.
Warning
Only for use on ornamental pond fish. Keep out of reach of children. Store in the box, dry and dark at a temperature of 4 to 32°C. Do not inhale. Prevent contact with the skin and eyes. If swallowed, immediately consult a physician and show the package or label. This product causes permanent stains on clothing, paving materials, etc. For UK: This veterinary medicine is marketed in accordance with Schedule 6 of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations – Exemption for small pet animals.
